A bug munches on the datura flower. It has been very busy. Sacred datura is the name of a poisonous perennial plant and ornamental flower of southwestern North America. It is sometimes used as a hallucinogen added to “Indian whiskey” because of its ritual intoxicating uses by many tribes. The flower has five narrow points spaced symmetrically around its rim. The bug only knows it tastes good. Of course it may be hallucinating! Zion National Park UT.
